In 2008 i produced and designed a story for the german issue of the "Men's Health" magazine. It was titled "Football School" and was printed a few weeks before the UEFA EURO 2008.

 

The story shows one soccer play starting with the goalkeeper throwing the ball to a defender. The ball then is passed from player to player until it ends with a shoot towards the opponent goal, being caught by the keeper. The text is describing the soccer techniques and skills that are used during this play, an interview with the players is also included. All the players are national team players: Jens Lehman (GER), Philippe Senderos (SUI), Yildiray Bastürk (TUR), Rafael van der Vaart (NET), Tomas Rosicky (CZE).

 

We produced this story in London, Stuttgart and Hamburg. It was photographed by Rasmus Kaessmann. The text was provided by Oliver Bertram. The opening tablet was photographed by Walter Fey using portraits shot by Rasmus Kaessmann.
